About This Item

Philadelphia: T. S. Manning, 1826. Unbound. Good binding. Octavo. 8 pp. First and only edition. Unbound sheet, printed and folded. Soiling to the first and last page; moderate edgewear including some silverfishing, limited to the margin, so not affecting any text.

Uncommon posthumous and sole edition of this address on deliverance, delivered as gentle corrections to the "unsound" sentiments of the Danbury Association of the Baptist Churches. The Rev. Samuel Jones (1735-1814) was the fourth pastor of the oldest Baptist church in Pennsylvania, the Baptist Church of Christ in Lower Dublin (i.e., Pennepack in Northeast Philadelphia); his letter appear here with an introduction by Theophilus Harris. OCLC locates only three institutions holding this item. American Imprints 25003.
