New Haven, 1887. Hardcover. 16mo (7" x 5.5"), blind-stamped brown cloth, gilt title. Original albumen photo frontis. on cardstock, [3], 4-24 pp. Early gift inscription in ink at ffep reading: "For one who has done so much to make his peaceful slumbers possible. 9/5/33. W.T." CONDITION: Good, covers with some dampstains and rubbing, partial split at front inner hinge, binding sound, interior clean. Frontis. is a view across the rolling fields looking toward the sleeping giant.
