1819. HAZLITT, William. LECTURES ON THE ENGLISH COMIC WRITERS. Delivered at the Surrey Institution. London: Printed for Taylor and hessey, 1819. First edition. [4], 343 pp. 8vo., paper boards, printed paper label at spine. A few, light pencil notes in margins. Binding is dampstained at spine and top-edge of boards; upper joint is cracked. Text leaves are rippled from moisture, but they are not stained. Title-page is heavily foxed and there is some light, scattered foxing throughout the text. A reading copy of the first edition.
