The author, Robert Sharpe, was the Dean of the Faculty of Law at the University of Toronto, and sat on the Ontario Court of Appeal for 21 years. He has studied numerous Canadian criminal cases. In this case, a murder, Sharpe investigates the circumstances surrounding the murder, the response of the community to the trial, and conviction of three men, and the "...problem of wrongful convictions...". (Introduction). The book includes sections on; the Coroners Inquest, evidence presented at trial, and pleas for mercy from the community. The appendix contains chapter notes and index. A near fine copy in unread condition. The text is clean and free of markings.
