George Doran colophon on copyright page. Hardcover in Good + Condition. No dust jacket. A very nice solid copy of this first edition. Brown full cloth binding with darker brown scroll on front, brown titles. Generally clean with a faint darker brown streak on front. Upper corners very gently bumped; corners and spine ends rubbed; spine bows slightly outward. Rough cut on fore edge and bottom edge. Pages quite clean and completely free from any markings. They are tanned. This is largely an anecdotal form of humor, at which Irvin S. Cobb is a master. There are 366 short humorous, witty stories to be enjoyed. 246 pages. 8.75 x 6 inches. 1923, George H. Doran Company, New York
