Set out in 7 chapters, this book covers in a biographical format the phases of Lincoln's life centered around his stances on politics and a fierce nationalism. The book covers his hardscrabble life, his desire of economic growth in the American West, his hatred of slavery and the preservation of the Union. As a president he learned military strategy, a complex defense of the Constitution, the Emancipation Proclamation, and the fate of republic and of the freed black Americans. A clean very presentable copy in a Brodart mylar jacket.
