With date of 1914 on title page recto (last copyright date of 1914 on title page verso). Provenance: From the library of publisher Alfred A. Knopf, with his bookplate on front attached endpaper. Spine sunned, with slight wear to head and foot (fraying); slight rubbing and browning to covers (cloth); slight bumping to corners and foredges; previous owner's printed paper label on front free endpaper; slight internal uniform browning (chiefly to endpapers and edges).b/w Title vignettes; Title Pages (red/black).
