A clean, unmarked copy in a tight binding and unclipped dust jacket. The top corners of both boards are lightly bumped. Signed Emma Cave 17. 2. 98 on the title page and with a gift inscription from the author on the front free endpaper signed from Emma/Caroline (the author's real christian name).
