About This Item
Cincinnati: C. J. Krehbiel Company Book. Good. Hardcover. 1958, 16mo, 36pp, four illustrations. Several numbers are written in ink on the front cover, and a few on the front pastedown, else G. Mrs. Frances Trollope, the mother of novelist Anthony Trollope, went to America in 1828, where she and her husband failed in a business venture in Cincinnati, Ohio. As a result of that experience and her other travels in America, she wrote the book DOMESTIC MANNERS OF THE AMERICANS, which was a scathing account of American life. This little book is an account of her experiences in Cincinnati..
