Half green leather with marbled paper boards. Spines gilt, brown spine labels. Corners slightly bumped and edges worn. Leather a bit scuffed and boards rubbed. Occasional foxing.
Includes poetry, useful articles, cookery, needlework, answers to enquiries. Articles about whether death is painful, dangers of the seaside, hair-dressing in the Oceanic Islands, Robin Hood, a cure for cancer, why a child's ears should never be boxed, keeping eggs fresh for two years, the effect of meat upon eyesight, restoring obliterated writing, etc.
