About This Item
Pasadena, California: Pasadena Art Museum, 1962. First Edition, First Printing.
Catalogue for a 1962 exhibition of works by Kurt Schwitters at the Pasadena Art Museum. There's one tipped-in color illustration followed by a chronology, 10 black-and-white illustrations, a list of 87 works, and an appreciation of collector Kate Steinitz, who lent works to the exhibition. The covers can fold out to make a poster, but you would have to remove the staples and the text block to do that.
The show took place from June 19 to July 20, 1962, in Pasadena and traveled to Manchester, New Hampshire; Washington, D.C.; Minneapolis; and Cambridge, Mass.
This catalogue is scarce in commerce.
PHYSICAL DETAILS: Small Quarto (10 x 8 inches; 257 x 202 mm), unpaginated (24 pages), in stapled, illustrated wrappers (soft cover). Covers can be used to make a poster.
CONDITION: Light soiling to wrappers, tiny stain to last leaf (not affecting any text). Very Good or better.
