INSCRIBED by Marcuse on the first leaf "for Rudi Makkreel | Herbert Marcuse." Makkreel and Marcuse were colleagues in the Philosophy Department at the University of California at San Diego in the late 60s. Makkreel went on to become one of the preeminent scholars of German philosophy, especially Kant, Dilthey, and hermeneutics. The book is tight, near fine in DJ with some rubbing along the edges. Scarce signed.. Inscribed by Author(s). Soft cover. Near Fine/Dust Jacket Included.
