Scarce work. Illustrated with portrait frontispiece, one coloured map, and over two hundred and fifty black-and-white photographs. A reference text for the British possessions and dependencies in the empire from across the world. With descriptions and images of areas of interest and sights from various countries, including: The Cobb at Lyme Regis, Fern Tree Valley under Mount Wellington, the Zuni Indians, the view of Killiney Hill from Sorrento Park, the grounds of Harvard College, and much more. In the original green cloth binding. Externally, sound with rubbing and light fraying to the extremities. Fading to the spine and the odd mark to the board. A small puncture wound to the front board. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean with the odd handling mark. Light spotting to the endpapers. Very Good
