New York: Harper & Brothers, 1936. First Edition, First Printing. Hardcover. Just About Fine/Very Good. Green cloth over boards, title and decorations stamped in black and orange onto upper board and spine, 8vo (8-1/8 inches [26 cm] tall), pp. 292, patterned endpapers. Volume with a touch of rubbing to title on upper board. Price-intact DJ with light soil, shallow chips and small closed tears, two tiny stains to top edge and some crinkling to bottom of front panel. Signed by Burnett in black ink directly onto the title page. The story of Read Cole, a good man who is the govenor of Ohio that defies the American axiom that "Good men won't go into politics!" Credited DJ artwork by "MANSO
