"Kesey's Garage Sale is a collection of essays, some republished and unpublished writings and thoughts mostly by Mr. Kesey. Features the play "Over the Border" about the adventures of a number of Merry Prankster type freaks in and around Mexico, forever getting in and out of broken down cars, on buses, eluding the fuzz and smoking dope, (which is based on the time Kesey spend hiding out in Mexico from drug charges in the U. S). This encyclopedia sized volume is a collection of Kesey memorabilia, mainly from the Whole Earth Catalog era, with reprints of articles, a long rambling interview between Kesey and a younger writer, letters to and from other '60's divinities - Neal Cassady, Paul Krassner, and Allen Ginsberg. There are various shorter pieces by Kesey, plus an intermittent running commentary by Arthur Miller. Illustrated by cartoonist and Merry Prankster Paul Foster. This is a A-Z mishmash of all kinds of odd thoughts and written ramblings, some are funny, some are just written thoughts." EB; 20 X 20 X 20 inches; 238 pages .
