About This Item
K2: THE SAVAGE MOUNTAIN
By Charles Houston and Robert Bates
SIGNED by all Seven Team members!
The Epic story of the American attempt to conquer K2 in 1953. One of the great stories in the annals of Alpine literature. During an attempt to rescue one of their sick comrades from high on K2, the world's second highest peak, the entire team falls down the ice face and rescued by the heroic belay of the youngest member of the party.
This copy is near fine- with some minor fading to the spine, and includes a near fine dust jacket that shows some wear to the top and bottom of the jacket's spine.
Truly a rare and collectible item, as all members of the party have since passed away.
