We have never seen the slipcase before and presume that it was provided for author’s or publisher’s presentation copies. A fine association copy; presented by the author to Dalton Trumbo, “To Cleo and Dalton and their children ---’Peace, Bread and Roses’ with enduring affection and great admiration. John Wexley, August, 1955.” Wexley was a radical screenwriter, who, like Trumbo, was blacklisted.
