About This Item

Washington, D. C.: Gpo. Near Fine with no dust jacket. 1904-1908. First Edition. Hardcover. 4 volumes have some spotting to the spine and damp staining on either side of the spine. One volume is badly foxed, and two others are lightly foxed at the top of the pages. Partially unopened. There were only 2000 copies printed, with half of those going to libraries, senators and representatives. Note that I only have the first 21 volumes. The owner's name is printed at the lower right corner of the front cover. Printed on very nice paper, the GPO did a worthy job on these books. These are not xlib, and are in the original cloth. Original letter/note in volume one, explaining the future printing of the work, which will be done, one volume at a time. Postage will be at cost. ; Small 4to 9" - 11" tall .
