London, 1831. 333pp. Modern fabrikoid. Some light scattered foxing or dust soiling. Good. Fowler, an Englishman, sailed from Liverpool to New York in June of 1830. His journal contains a description of the voyage and an extensive tour of New York state, including the prison at Auburn, Niagara Falls, and a long section on New York City. He sailed for England in October. The ship was wrecked in the Azores, and Fowler made a tour of the islands before successfully returning to England. HOWES F299. SABIN 25310.
