Presentation copy, inscribed on the half-title by Rupert Pole, the second husband of Anaïs Nin, as well as her literary executor, to Jean Sherman, who translated several posthumous works by Nin, including Linotte (1978): "For Jean - whose superb translation paved the way for this publication, with love, Rupert, New Years 1980". Octavo: 422 p. with textual photographs and illustrations. Original printed paper wrappers. Light discoloration along the extremities; otherwise very good.
