Biography of a parson who published books about God's creatures and about the personalities of his day, written by a professor of English history from Smith College. Red cloth, illustrated frontis, 280 pages. The book is in good condition with some mild shelfwear, sound text block, good hinges, very small ink markings on front pastedown but otherwise clean pages with no names or other markings. Portions of the original dustjacket are neatly spliced and mounted on the endpapers. . First Edition. Hard Cover. Good/No. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
