Large folio, original colth, with leather spine and corners, gilt title on top cover, 55 color plate maps. Top cover almost detached, hinges weak, extremities very worn, spine chipped and worn, corners missing, some pages chipped, tears to edges of some maps.Maps are generally bright and clean, with just a bit of toning. Of the 55 maps in this editions of Johnson's atlas, 52 are double page, and 30 relate to the United States. Includes double page maps of Boston, Philadelphia, and New York City.For some reason map sheet pagination skips pages 14 and 15, but those pages are not found on the map list.
