Clipped jacket has moderate surface wear, with chips, tears and creasing to edges, corners and spine ends. Large open tear to spine. Lightly tanned and foxed overall.

Lovely. Blue cloth is sunned along extremities and spine. Green and white illustrated end-papers (lightly age-toned). Exposed interior webbing at the gutter of the half-title page and later near back of volume. Still, text block is tight. Fabulous color plates (all present) and b/w drawings. One color plate has an approx. 2.5" closed tear (no paper loss). Scattered mild foxing and smudges throughout. Black spine titles. No jacket. A wonderful early copy of this fab title. Unpaginated.Protected in a mylar slip.
