In dust jacket with some spine fade, a chip to the head of the spine and rubbing to the folds. The author tells tales from his vast experience as a gem dealer and trader including stories of an Italian poison ring, King Edward's astute involvement with the cutting of the Culligan diamond, how the jewels of the Dowager Empress of Russia were taken out of that country and reappeared in the furnature of a New York aprtment, etc.
