A historical novel whose hero, St Columba, brought Christianity to northern Britain and helped lay the foundations of Scotland. Set in the sixth century AD. Pale blue boards with blind stamped Celtic cross on the front cover, gilt titles to spine. Some light fading to cover and dj, dj a little frayed at upper and lower edges of spine but a very good copy. SIGNED BY THE AUTHOR "Margaret, with love from Jane Oliver, Because we both belong to Scotland as well as to bull terriers, for 24 October, 1964". The recipient wasd Margaret O.
