Tan coloured boards with gilt coloured titles to the back strip Plain text dust wrapper with khaki and white coloured titles to the front panel and silver and gold coloured titles to the back strip. "In this book, Professor Zacour describes the principal social, political and religious institutions in mediaeval society, explaining how they developed, changed and interacted." – from the front fold over panel blurb. Softening of the back strip edges with rubbing of the book corners and lower book edges. Slight cocking of the spine with uniform tanning of the text block edges and age toning of the pages. Scattered fine foxing and staining to the text block edges. A little foxing to the first few and last few pages of the book. Previous owners name to the top edge of the front paste-down. This selfsame previous owner has underlined a vast amount of the text in a black coloured ink; occasional notes are also present. Creasing to the dust wrapper edges and rubbing of the panels.
