'He makes golf seem amazingly simple, he clearly shows the difference between an essential and a non-essential.'

Elon Jessup, by his own admission a 'duffer' came to interview John Duncan Dunn who was then the head of the great Wanamaker indoor-golf school. This book came from that interview and Dunn's instruction of Jessup.

Background Information:
Dunn originally from North Berwick, trained as a professional greenskeeper and course builder in 1894 moved to the USA and carried several prominent jobs on the east coast before moving to California and became the pro at the Los Angeles Country Club, where he opened several golf schools, and became one of the most respected teachers of his time. Elon Jessup was the associate editor of 'Outing' magazine.
