Thomas Littleton was a 15th-century English jurist known for his treatises on tenures. This book has long been considered the first text on English property law and ownership rights. 'The Tenures', as it is more commonly known, was an important catalyst in the changes made to the feudal system in England and was made the subject of numerous commentaries a rebuttal into the 17th-century.
