Binding is tight & square, no cracking. Pages and edges are clean, with gilt top page edges. Black and white illustrations of inns and tavern life of the times. 274 pages with index. Dust jacket is not price clipped (7.50 on front inside flap), small corner chips at top of spine and a few tiny closed edge tears, some age toning. Enclosed in new archival quality removable mylar cover. Very Good+.
