Good- (Boards are heavily worn/scuffed/smudged; spine is peeling and 1/3 has chipped away; inner hinges are cracked; inscription to former owner on endpaper; textblock edges are toned/scuffed/smudged; textblock is cracked; interior is lightly toned with occasional foxing and smudging; some pages have been dog-eared; some pages have darker toning at the periphery.). Brown leather boards with mounted black title card and gilt accents on the spine; illustrated endpapers and textblock edges; xvi, 548 pp.; richly illustrated. This is a scarce item with really beautiful illustrations by Frederick Catherwood.
