About This Item
Not just a book about golf, but the struggle for recognition of women in the sport. Lots of great golf stories and archival photographs. Particularly poignant with the recent passing of Kathy Whitworth, who won more tournaments than anybody. Forward by Mickey Wright. Taped on the front free end page is a cartoon about the history of golf. The first golf course in Dallas was in 1898 at the corner of Lemmon and Oak Lawn. The previous owner's sticker is on the inside cover. There is a gift inscription on the half title page, under the authors signature. The dust jacket has a tiny tear at the top of the spine. Otherwise, the book is in excellent condition. The author has signed on the half title page (no inscription).
