Gilt crest of King's College London to front board. p.63 detached but present, with tears (affecting text) and mild loss. Includes illustrated plates by Flaxman (all present as expected) and frontispiece. Notable tanning to pages throughout. Some gutter cracking. Presentation plate to front paste down. Pastedowns and endpapers heavily rubbed and marked. Moderate wear, scratching and bumping to spine, board edges and corners. Notable sunning to spine, with rubbing, scuffing and soiling to boards. Gilt slightly dulled, more heavily so to edges.
