The second edition of this 'Bibliophile edition.'In the publisher's original cloth with the original unclipped dust wrapper. Illustrated with a full colour double spread, illustrated title page and monochrome vignette and full page illustrations by Meryn Peake. This work features a collection of stories from the famous fairy tale authors 'the Brothers Grimm', including titles such as 'The Little Peasant', 'Mother Hulda', 'Old Sultan' and 'The Twelve Huntsmen'. The stories have been accompanied by the wonderful illustrations of author and artist Mervyn Peake, who is best known for his 'Gormenghast' series. In the publisher's original cloth with the original unclipped dust wrapper. Externally lovely with only slight fading to the head of the front board. The wrap is excellent with very minimal sunning and a slight mark to the spine. Marks to the head of the verso. Internally firmly bound with clean and bright pages. Near Fine

Based in the literary city of Bath, our offices are housed in the Eastern Dispensary. Built in 1845, the building originally existed as a charitable institution providing medical care. The building now houses our collection of over twenty thousand books and has five full time members of staff.
