Dustwrapper rubbed and edgeworn, foxed to reverse side; some light foxing. Good condition. "This book tells the story of the growth of the University, of its staff, of its students, of its role in the academic world and of its influence on the life of Natal and of South Africa generally. The author is a distinguished historian of Colonial Natal and the writer of many books on historical and social subjects. He is a former Professor of History and Political Science at the University." .
