About This Item
London : Kaye & Ward, 1969-70. Cloth. Very Good/Very Good Indeed. 10" by 7.5". None. Cecil Lawson's History of the Uniforms of the British Army. Bound in cloth with gilt lettering and unclipped dust wrappers, except volume three. With John W. Woodfield's military nameplate on the front pastedown. "This History has now become the standard work on the subject. All branches of the Army - horse, foot, artillery, supply, regulars and volunteers - are dealt with; exact details of dress and equipment, and their development from reign to reign, with more accuracy than ever before, are given in both the very attractive drawings - of which there have been around two hundred in each volume - and in the descriptive text." - Flyleaf Bound in cloth with gilt lettering and unclipped dust wrappers, except volume three. The binding is tight and firm. There is slight wear to the extremities, including bumping. The dust wrappers have some closed tears, chips and discolouration. Internally the pages are clean and bright with some light background foxing on the first and last couple of pages. Very Good
