Impressive 3 volume biography of Emperor Charles V Original dark green decoratively embossed cloth with gilt titles and crests on spine vol 1, 618 pp, v 2 604 pp nd v3 565 pp Bindings very good condition with minor shelf wear and slight chipping at the tops Text blocks and pages all very clean and unmarked
Provenance: An ink stamped ownership stamp for Charles A Kidder 1902 on ffep of each volume, apparently the original partner in Kidder, Peabody Also a bookplate on the inside front cover of each volume of Philip Munro Breed, and the handwritten signatures and dates of a later third owner as well on the inside front cover of each volume
