Dublin: Printed for Peter Wilson, 1756. 12mo (170 x 105 mm), [2], xvii, [1], 248p., with half-title, upper corner of E8 torn away and just touching one letter, folding engraved map of the Island (gutter margin a little creased), cont. half calf, rebacked, marbled boards and corners rubbed, spine tolled in gilt with a red morocco title label. First published in 1752, this rare Dublin edition was published in the same year as the London second edition. "Mr. Armstrong's Omissions, which, in the London Edition, that Gentleman has supplied by an Appendix, are in this introduced in the Body of the Work, at the several Places to which they respectively belong."—Advertisement leaf. Provenance: Lieutenant William Grant's signature in ink to front-free endpaper.
