Octavo. Rebound in plain sheep. xxiv,264p. This is the stated Second Edition with "Large Additions by the Author; Illustrated by Copper Plates", and more specifically, this probable third printing of said second edition: Fold-out plates present: PLATE 2: "North Prospect of Mahon" AND & "North East Prospect of Philips Castle"; PLATE 3: Ciudadella in Minorca; PLATE 4 consists of 8 figures on one fold-out page. "Reissued twice in 1756, the second reissue containing an additional 'Letter from an officer in Minorca' dated 1755 (Eddy, 'Samuel Johnson: book reviewer', pp.33-5)" (ESTC, T112620).
