Headley Memorial Library The Science Museum of Minnesota", with withdrawn stamp across bookplate. Hoebel's signature on front endpaper of both volumes. Several marginal marks. A handsome, bright set. Hoebel retired in 1972 as Regents' Professor of Anthropology at the University of Minnesota after teaching there for 18 years, 15 of them as head of the department. He served as president of the American Ethnological Society and the American Anthropological Association. Binding is tight, sturdy, and square. Ships from Dinkytown in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
