About This Item
Los Gatos, C, 1962. 398pp., including portrait frontispiece. Publisher's orange cloth, printed paper spine label, original printed dust jacket (price- clipped). Minor edge wear and a few short tears to dust jacket. Very good plus. An interesting and useful historical overview of California newspapers, published by the Talisman Press, a reissue of Kemble's work, originally published in the SACRAMENTO UNION on Christmas Day, 1858. The portrait frontispiece reproduces a daguerreotype of Edward Gilbert and Kemble, both early California printers and newspapermen.
