Pp. xlvi+[ii]+622+[2](advertisement, blank), errata slip tipped in at page 1, index ; demy 8vo; rebound in recent black buckram, spine lettered and ruled in gilt, with new endpapers; edges uncut, with some slight cropping of fore-edges of first few leaves, and light creases or splits to a few leaves; bookplate on upper free endpaper, contemporary inked name on title page and same name plus date (1862) on verso, the title page soiled and with some ink staining, partially covering the date in the title, some foxing throughout, small surface graze to one page affecting a few words on four lines of text, light waterstaining to bottom margin of eight leaves at end; Richard Bentley, London, 1857.
