This work comprises a history of Perthshire, detailing historic scenes featuring local characters and places. Perthshire is a historic county in central Scotland.Penned by William Marshall, who also penned such works as 'Men of Note in British Church History' and 'Historic Scenes in Forfarshire'.From the library of Peter Carmichael, Esq., a Scottish senior partner in the Baxter Brothers' mill, a pioneer in flax spinning and linen manufacture.With a number of newspaper clippings pasted in to the rear endpaper, page 252 and page 238.Illustrated with a tipped-in frontispiece portrait of the author. In a full cloth binding. Externally generally smart, with some bumping to the extremities and the head and tail of the spine, which is a little worn. Ownership bookplate and inscription to the front pastedown; newspaper clippings pasted to the rear endpaper, page 252 and page 238. Internally, generally firmly bound; hinges are a little strained but remain firm. Pages are bright and clean with just the odd spot. Very Good
