Inscribed "For Connie and Magnar Nostdahl I hope you will relive many happy memories of Norway Kan Duglemme Norge! Erling Omar Omland 8/17/95". A historically accurate work of fiction related to the author's time in Norway and his time with the 10th Mountain Division during the War, where he received a Purple Heart and a Bronze Star for his valiant service in the Italian Apennine Mountains. Erling taught skiing, rock climbing and mountaineering to the troops at Camp Hale in Colorado. After the war, he became a certified professional ski instructor and taught skiing at Dartmouth. He was inducted into the Vermont Skiing Hall of Fame. Signed copies are rarely offered.
