Very Good / No Jacket (As Issued) , Brown pictorial cover with picture of Indian with bow & arrow, some white speckles on back cover, corners and spine bumped, very clean tight copy. No inside or outside markings. This book was created for children, with a teacher's guide inside, to teach about Hiawatha ("The word means 'He makes Rivers.' ") . Many sepia-toned photographs show the "old ways" and cultures of the Native Americans. The images are staged to recreate a beloved American image. ; 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall; 233 pages .
