Philadelphia: Hubbard Brothers, 1880. Hardcover. Small 8vo. Green blind- and black-ruled cloth over bevelled boards with ornate gilt lettering and pictorial stamping. 450pp. Tissue-guarded frontispiece, 15 full-page called-for plates. Very good. Bit of light spotting near bottom of front board; ownership signature/date on brown front pastedown (thus barely visible). A bright and handsome early printing of this 1878 text, internally fine and with elaborate giltstamping bold and crisp.
