John Murray, London, 1904. Book. Very Good. Hardcover. 1st Edition. First edition, first state, with the top edge un-coloured and a closing bracket absent from the title page. Crown 8vo. x, 202pp. Blue cloth with handsome gilt decoration to the backstrip. A touch of wear to the spine ends and a touch of very light spotting to the free endpapers, half-title and final text leaf. Imperial Library (Cheltenham) inkstamp to the front free endpaper. A very good copy of the author's second book and first work of fiction: a fantastical novel which includes encounters with assorted fictional figures (Jane Eyre and Rochester, Poe's Annabel Lee, Wordsworth's Lucy Gray, Shakespeare's Bottom, Gulliver &c)..
