Includes a personal note from President Bush on his letterhead: "... Although I was never really interested in writing a memoir - historians can decide the ups and downs of my time in office - I did want to let others know about what I call 'heartbeat.' All the best, George Bush." When President Bush referenced "heartbeat," it was a code word referring to his personal bedrock values of service, duty, honor, friends, faith, and family.
