Lucius Beebe and Charles Clegg are well known railroad historians and it is easy to see why when you look at this book. It's 380 pages are followed by several pages of unpaginated illustrations and is full of entertaining history, folklore and railroad anecdotes illustrated with over 800 photos and prints and ten original drawings by E. S. Hammack. Nearly every page has multiple pictures, not "thumb nails."
