About This Item
4 colour illustrations by W. L. Jacobs. Copyright 1911; 1912 on title page, seemingly the first edition. Embossed spine and front cover; attractive endpapers front and back, plus another double-page illustration following the front endpapers with just the book title on it. Title page and the next 10 pages all have faint illustrations on them as well. Attractive bookplate of "Lettie M. Talley" on first endpaper with the date Aug. 1912. Some foxing to spine; page edges somewhat discoloured; still an attractive book and seemingly uncommon. NOTE: the first owner has attached a newspaper photograph of the author on the page before the first illustration and title page. It has stained the opposite page which has a list of the author's titles.
