Boston: Little, Brown, and Company, 1946. Third printing, special edition. Hardcover. Very good; some shelf wear, foxed edges.. A Harvard Prize book. Bound in red leather and cloth, bearing a gilt Harvard seal on its front, gilt lettering and design on its spine, and gilt upper edges. Provides a description of the Harvard Prize Books award and an inscription from the Harvard Club of Andover to the winning student at The Johnson High School, dated 1947. The book
itself is an autobiography by Ellery Sedgwick, a Harvard alumnus who was the editor of The Atlantic Monthly from 1908-1938. An interesting piece of history, both of the Harvard prize book tradition and of the 20th century literary world.
